Dan Weedin interviews his guest, Phil Tyler on the topic of dealing with the social challenges of racial issues in our lives.
Phil Tyler lives in Spokane, WA. Father of two boys (middle son lost to suicide). An Air Force veteran, Phil served as a Law Enforcement Specialist. He's a 16 year veteran of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office – Jail Division where he was to first African American promoted to the ranks of Sergeant and Lieutenant.
He achieved the status Certified Public Official in 2014 and was the Recipient of FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award.
He is the Past President of the Spokane NAACP and currently works as Crime Prevention and Education Officer, Campus Security and Public Safety at Gonzaga University.
